Tipping Point Theatre is a professional, non-profit theatre company that has been operating in Northville, Michigan since 2007. It was founded on the idea of creating meaningful and powerful theatre experiences that encourage empathy and inspire change within the community. Initially they functioned as a “vagabond” theatre, performing in any space they could find and paying actors with applause and recognition, but in 2007 they officially incorporated as a 501(c)3 organization. In order to further their mission, Tipping Point Theatre opened their very own permanent facility located in downtown Northville. This state-of-the-art theatre provides a creative and intimate setting for both local performers and audience members alike. It is also home to workshops, classes, special readings, and other events like improv nights. With its innovative programming and dedication to quality storytelling through live performance – Tipping Point Theatre has become a cornerstone of the local arts community. Led by Board President Nannette Ret, Tipping Point Theatre strives to promote empathy among their audience members while giving voice to stories that are often overlooked.
